Dolores Atoigue Namauleg, 82, was born in Agana, Guam, daughter of Joaquin and Ana Atoigue. In 1951, after graduation, Dolores became a School Teacher for Dept of Education until enlisting into the Navy. Serving at NAS Patuxent River, Md. Dolores was one of the first Chamorro women to enlist into military Naval Service. In 1956, Dolores married Joaquin E. Namauleg. She and her husband moved to Oceanside in 2007 to be closer to her children. Dolores was a Founding member of "Guam Club of Monterey" from 1972 to 1978. A loving dutiful, loyal wife and mother, Dolores was known to her friends and family as a fun-loving, sociable and elegant lady, who loved to dance and crochet. Dolores is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joaquin; daughters, "DJ," Elizabeth, and Monica; son, John; two sons-in-law, one grandson-in-law, four grandchildren, Angelica, Adrienne, Benjamin and McKenzie; and great-grandchild, Ariyana; her brother, Joe; sister, Ann; Uncle Joaquin; many cousins, nieces and nephews in the US and Guam. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Inda and Jesus.
