About dåko'ta's Buried Beneath: Buried Beneath weaves spoken word poetry, traditional chant, ukelele, and modern movement to tell dåko'ta's queer life story through a new genre of hip hop theatre. When bombs erupt, dåko'ta re-carves family, to heal from generations of trauma, troubled by a devotedly catholic nåna and World War II veteran påpa. Bombs & Låtte are metaphors contrasting our own potential we could come together to build a sturdy foundation that elevates our people, like the Låtte, or we can allow weapons to be built, stored, and launched to destroy life. Growing up in a family of war survivors, dåko'ta struggles between a mainstream culture of fear, over their own indigenous culture of respect and inafa'maolek (mutual respect and harmony with community).

Also featuring Crystal Ybarra: "She is an in-your-face artist with a rhythm divine. Listening to Ybarra is a pleasure and pain, like quickly running your fingers quickly through a candle flame - her words are as hot as they are cold, dancing about, emitting heat and light." -Seattle Gay News
