Obituary
Rosa Borja Toves, age 76, of Chula Vista, entered into rest on Thursday, October 23, 2014. She was the devoted wife of the late Herman Sablan Toves.
Rosa was born in Afame Sinajana, Guam on
November 10, 1937, daughter of the late Juan Borja and Jesus and Maria (Santos
Sato) Tenorio.
She was a wonderful homemaker and
dedicated her life to her family. She was the epitome of what a mother should
be and leaves behind wonderful memories.
Rosa was a magnificent cook, enjoyed
sewing, and loved to sing. In her younger years she sang in the choir for the
Sons and Daughters of Guam club.
She is the beloved mother of Albert Toves,
Benjamin Toves, Daniel Toves, Catherine Toves, Elaine Mendiola, Florence Wilson
and Grace Cruz. She also leaves a legacy of fifteen grandchildren, and 16
great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 5:00pm to
9:00pm, Monday, November 3, 2014 at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel in Bonita. The
Vigil Service will begin at 7:00pm. led by Deacon Ruben Pelina. Funeral
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 with mass at 2:00pm at Most
Precious Blood in Chula Vista; interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial
Park in Bonita.
