Matilde
Castro Santos who was born on October 6, 1936 in the southern village of
Inarajan, Guam. She was called to
eternal rest at the age of 78 on December 31, 2014, after battling a lengthy
illness. A devoted Catholic; she was a
long-time member of St. Mary’s in National City, CA.
Often
arriving early Matilde enjoyed visiting with fellow Chamorros at the senior
lunches and assisting other fiesta groups and their fundraisers at the Golden
Acorn Casino. Proud of her heritage, she
is a lifetime member of the Sons and Daughters of Guam Club.
Matilde
will be missed.

Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista, California.
She is a lifetime member of the Sons and Daughters of Guam Club.
A
one-night rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the
Sons and Daughters of Guam Club located at 334 Willie James Jones Avenue, San
Diego, California.
The
viewing will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 starting at 10:00 a.m. at Cypress
View Mausoleum, Mortuary and Crematory, 3953 Imperial Avenue at 40th Street,
San Diego, California 92113. The funeral
is at 11:00 a.m. and the body will be laid to rest at 12:15 p.m. Immediately after the funeral services, a
reception will be held at the Sons and Daughters of Guam Club’s main
