Genevieve (Genny) Aguon Arbitrario’s first book was published April 18, 2013. It is entitled: “A Special Day for Grandparents.” The book is advertised on Amazon, and Barnes and Nobles websites.
She writes “realistic fiction”-children’s stories, regarding ethical values based on everyday situations and experiences
.
Three of her children’s books are expected to be released and published by December 2013.
Genny is a 1967 graduate of George Washington High School. She received her BA degree in Education and Library Science at the University of Guam, and continued to enroll in post graduate courses thereafter. She taught in Guam for 22 years before moving to Virginia. She taught at Price Elementary, J.P.Torres Elementary, Untalan Middle School, Carbullido Elementary, F.Q.Sanchez Elementary, Merizo Martyr Elementary, and Glenn Forest Elementary in Falls Church, Virginia.
Genny was born and raised in Malesso. Her parents are Simeon Castro Aguon of San Ramon, Hagatna and the former, Maria Tyquiengco Aguigui. She is married, has three children and six grandchildren.
