Guam - The Guam Liberation Historical
Society has announced the theme for this year's 70th Liberation Day
celebration, it is "Generations of Service &
Sacrifice".
70th Liberation: A Platinum Celebration Theme: Generations of Service & Sacrifice
CHamoru Translation: "Meggai Na Hinirasion Setbisio Yan Sakrifisia".
CHamoru Translation: "Meggai Na Hinirasion Setbisio Yan Sakrifisia".
This year’s theme honors the generations of families who have
answered the call to military service. (i.e. grandfather to son to
granddaughter= three generations) and those who have given the last full
measure of devotion to their nation.
We also honor our military families who are left behind while
their soldier, sailor, marine, and airman are away.
We pay special tribute to those families that serve our country in
the home front in their own unique way and the sacrifices they make. Mayor
Robert Hofmann.
