Buenas afanelos, para todu’ I “Pro-Buildup” este’, ya’ put fabot, munga’ adai ma’ mu’muye’-yu ni’ este’.
For those non-native occupants in Guahan whom feel the sacred island of the CHamorus needs more friken people than there already is, it is obvious that the only thing in the forefront of your minds is "nothing." Your agendas mean nothing. Your ignorance is so blatant, they should diagnose each one of you with "terminal ignorance."
You act as if:
There are enough homes, apartments, or condos to support the incoming 5000 plus there support elements, and their families...
There aren't enough cars on the road...
There's enough land to support the parking for a "couple of extra thousand privately owned vehicles..."
There is enough water to support the current population and for the thousands coming...
The current power grid can ...support the current population and for the thousands coming...
The current waste policy can support the current population and for the thousands coming...
Guahan is like the Continental U.S. where anyone can say, "Well at least they didn't bring them here in our state..."
And the list of negatives just goes on and on and on...
So here's the question for the ignorant or uneducated: So can Guahan meet and support all those requirements? If you believe that the answer is yes, then you just don't have any respect for the native people or its culture.
Here is some food for thought: Historically, oppressed people of have always overcome emperial powers. And let me tell you, history will always "repeat itself." Empires have all but come and gone. Read your own damn history books.
Well, let me tell you. First off, you're obviously NOT CHamoru. You care NOTHING of the local culture or the people native to the island. This land was named Guahan "to have, or have." Well, not any more. At the rate you and your counterparts continue to push this propogandist issue, the less the precious island and its people will have for its cultural livelihood for the future CHamorus, and obviously you don't give a rat's ass!
Here's the reality. I believe that if the United Nations can support the Jewish denomination and the Jewish people in having a Jewish State of Israel, then I truly believe that the CHamorus can and also have the "God Given Right" to have, keep, own, and manage" their own land as well. The land of which I am speaking of right now is Guahan. That said, this should reflect to the rest of the islands which have been inherently governed by CHamorus for thousands of years.
So I say again. For those of you in the "Pro Build-up" team, in the future, please avoid making any ignorant comments regarding the future-hood of the land which rightfully belongs to all the native CHamorus.
