“…Maga Lahi Kimådu was a young warrior born in the northern district of Guåhan.  He, like all other male CHamoru was a product of the Uli’tåo schooling.  He knew that along with what was taught to them about life, family and the surrounding environment.  They also had one important task; to defend their families and homeland.  Kimådu, is noted for his valor in many campaigns against the oppressive Spaniards.  He led young Uli’tåos in many battles.  He also is noted for his victory on January 27, 1676, over Spanish soldiers led by the Jesuit, San Basilio at Upi’.  Kimådu, however was caught later and hung…”
