Buenas yan
Hafa Adai Todu Hamyo,
The following
information is forwarded from Heidi Quenga and request dissemination to friends,
families and anyone you know who might be able to attend and support this medical
fundraiser for Marge Lizama, we'll see you there. Please read on.
As
the Director of the Kutturan Chamoru Foundation (KCF), a non-profit Micronesian
Chamoru cultural and arts volunteer group based in Long Beach, I would like to invite
you to a fundraising event this Sunday, February 23 at 3pm to help a family in need.
Sometimes
in our lives we are faced with challenges that require our family and friends to
support us in any way they can. One of KCF’s dedicated family is going through a
bump in the road and needs help. One of KCF’s volunteer Board Member, Ta Hita –
Chamorro Language Instructor and Band member, Senot Tony Lizama’s wife Marge started
chemo treatment for Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. At age 40 with a 1 and 6
year old, its times like this that we must come together and be thankful for our
health and lend a hand if possible.
The
fundraiser this Sunday, is to help the Lizama family ease some of the financial
burden and support them during Marge’s recovery. A suggested donation of $10/adults
and $5/kids 10 and under to attend the event is our small way to help the Lizama
family.
KCF
will provide food, drinks and entertainment for those who attend. I will have donation
tickets available at rehearsal tonight if you are able to help a family in need.
