Pale` Eric's Workshop - November 3rd in Torrance California

All are invited to attend Pale` Eric's workshop on CHAMORRO CULTURE : A Drama in Three Acts
HAGAS ANTES PA'GO

Hagas means "the past" but it can also mean "the remote past," "what is no more." It refers to the pre-contact phase, before the Spaniards.
Antes means "before" and is a Spanish word, and refers to the more recent past, the phase just before the present one, that of the Spanish colony.
Pa'go of course means "now." Who we are now, and special reference to Chamorros now in the mainland.

This triad is not a closed one; there has to be an opening to the next phase. What will it be, for Chamorros in the mainland? That remains to be seen and will be different, depending on everyone's different choices what they want to do with their identities.
