RIP - Jose Quichocho Benavente - Familian CHedo/Semmon



 Jose Quichocho Benavente, aka “Joe” “Peling”(familian Chedo,Semmon/Maga,Mangilao), 76, passed away April 11, 2014, in San Diego, CA.

A U.S. Navy Veteran, long time El Cajon resident, Joe retired from the National City School District, and was previously employed at Guam Commercial Port. He competed in softball, pool, bowling, and pingpong while living on Guam. He loved music; an excellent guitarist…a talent he inherited from his father. He was a member of the Sons & Daughters of Guam Club, Inc.

In his new life, Joe now joins:
His Grandparents: Felix Reyes & Maria Crisostomo S.A. Benavente, Vicenta Leon Guerrero Quichocho. Parents: Pedro S.A. Benavente and Josefa Quichocho Quitugua. Sister: Julia Benavente Sarrosa. Stepfather: Florencio A. Quitugua. Inlaws: Jose R. & Dina P. Chaco, Bill Chaco, Milan Chaco, John Christensen, Hilda S. Chaco and Joe Bousquet.

Joe will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of his:

Wife (52 years): Dorothy “Dot” Perez Chaco Benavente.

MaryAnn B. & Mike Alvarez: Michael & Lauren (Kensington), and Brennen.
James Benavente: Vincent. Jack Benavente : Maia & Ari Rittman (Archer), Bryson and Blayne. Ken Benavente. Ben & Ariana Benavente-Jacob, Mason & Isabela.

Sisters & Spouses: Elizabeth B. (Joseph) Dydasco (Mangilao), Vicenta “Benni” B.(David) Schwab, Anesia Quitugua (John) Leon Guerrero. Brother In Law: Lemuel G. Sarrosa, (Philippines).

Brothers/Sisters-in-Law: Renee (Bill+) Chaco, Terry C. (Ben) Ishizaki, Estella (Milan+) Chaco, Elsie C. Christensen, Jesus Tyquiengco, George P. Chaco, Tony (Mary) Chaco, Lillian C. Bousquet, Roseline P. Chaco, & Arlene (Bob) Dalby.
Joe will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, relatives & friends.
